These Sabads (hymns) have been recorded based on the age old tradition of doing Sikh Kirtan, wherein the artists have sung Sabads from Guru Granth sahib with accompaniment of centuries old percussion instrument - Pakhawaj - and string instruments - Taus, Sarangi, Dilruba and Tanpura.
The reality show contestants say they are incredibly proud of their Sikh identity and are excited to display their 'warrior spirit'.
Occupying a space of just 230 sq m, the closely packed exhibits had been whittled down from a deluge of more than 1,000 artefacts that the community offered.
I admire these women for following their instincts and living by their values. They did what they felt and knew was right, whether that was what was right for the liberation of their people, or the liberation of their own soul and being by following a passion or dream. And they pursued it, often by breaking gender and class norms.
