This month at SikhNet Play we are featuring a playlist compiling the banis of Bhagat Ravidass by various artists and also a collection of Punjabi Katha and Katha shorts in honor of the prakash purab of Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji

The Holy Granth includes the Bani of Bhagats from all different castes and religions. Guru Arjan decided to include 41 verses of Ravidas in the Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

His poetry is brimming with ardent love and respect for God, Universe, Nature, Guru, and the Name.

Inclusivity and awareness of an equality among all living things and a love of nature and Guru was evident from a young age in Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib.

He sought to protect and elevate all in a wholly inclusive way.
In honor of Guru Har Rai, we explore how our actions even unintentional have effect on the world around us.

In the katha 'Guru Har Rai Sahib ji Komal te Kathor' we are told how Guru Sahib felt when he accidentally battered a flower with the robe he was wearing. It was unintentional but he was struck with the damage he had done and wanted to repair it.

It is a beautiful lesson to us all on being more intentional and inclusive.
