There is a unique global Hollywood project to capture a snapshot of life of people all over the world on July 24th, 2010. I hope that Sikhs all over participate so that we have a chance to get some video in this project showing Sikhs in a positive way!
Some who were gathered near the Family Activities tent noticed the sorry state of the bann de manja. Within minutes, cots that might have had to be junked after the 2010 Festival were as good as new.
“I am satisfied that the complainant was treated differently because of his turban and that this was negative differential treatment,” Chadha said.
Meeting new people always means lots of questions, and I predict that somewhere in-between “What’s your name?” and “Do you have a favorite animal?” will be the inevitable shifty look at my dastaar and “So…ummm…are you religious?”
Since I began walking on this path, I’ve been wanting to receive the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. although I’ve been able to read the daily hukamnama, as well as portions of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji online, there’s something about being able to touch and to dive into the actual physical form of the Sacred Word that I’ve been craving.

Mata Bhag Kaur Ji was the best sister any brother could ask for because she not only came closer to Waheguru but she helped her brothers too. A sister is one that doesn’t fight for her rights but in subtle ways earns it.
Some things which I have noticed amongst the Sikhs or rather people who call themselves “sikhs” including me, tend to forget the real sikhi once they arrive in USA or “Amricaa”. For some people just wearing a turban and having a beard is being sikh; for some people just coming to gurdwara on Sundays is being sikh.
