Guru Sahib in same Baani concludes that Waheguru destroys all fears, worries, sadness and hard times; and that He is merciful and always resides within us.
This story is directly based on a historic text and shows the personality of the future Guru when he was young: Sri Teg Bahadur had no interest with anything in this world. His mother, Mata Nanki, was concerned about this and asked the Guru what greatness he sees in her simple son.
I found astonishing from looking at these original sources was an event that happened which would re-write our understanding of Guru Gobind Singh: The Joti Jot of Guru Har Rai.
The Ahom women magicians employing their tantric paraphernalia began reciting mantras to Goddess Kamakhaya for destruction of Guru Ji’s encampment directly across the river. But all their magic spells failed to harm the great Guru.
Humanity has been fascinated about the world beyond our own since the beginning of Life. A lot of passages in Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh Holy Scriptures, reveal the glory of Nature and Creation and its Creator, and the time and place of the sun, moon, stars, and heavenly bodies:
We pray for the departed souls to be reunited through eternity with the Highest Spirit. We pray for the departed souls to be reunited with the Highest Spirit through eternity. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers for healing to the families of all victims.
Khalsa, the pure life, unwavering life, valorous life, veracious life, vehement life, victorious life..
Traditionally, the Khalsa ideology restores dignity to the working fraternity through Guru Nanak’s trilogy principle of God-centred life of honest work and sharing. According to one writer, “Sikhi is actively shaping and strengthening the current farmer protests. Iconography of the Sikh faith (orange colours, the Khanda symbol) has a heavy presence both at Indian and diaspora demonstrations”.
I admire these women for following their instincts and living by their values. They did what they felt and knew was right, whether that was what was right for the liberation of their people, or the liberation of their own soul and being by following a passion or dream. And they pursued it, often by breaking gender and class norms.
Basant (Spring) is a season of rejuvenation and growth. As per the Indian calendar, it begins in the month of Chayt and continues during the month of Baisakh. The season of spring is pleasant and delightful.
