There are two kinds of books for kids: the ones we read out loud to them (over and over and over) and the kind they can read to themselves.

Kiran Lyall, the author of "Have Fun With Panjabi" has published a fun new book called "Ria & Raj and the Gigantic Diwali Surprise" just in time for Diwali.

Ria & Raj is written at about a 1st grade reading level and kids who are that age and older will enjoy reading it by themselves. If your kids are younger than seven, you'll want to read this book out loud to them as they look on with you and enjoy the pictures.

It's a simple, fun story that captures the joy and coziness of preparation for Diwali in the family's kitchen. Do you like ladoo? Do your kids like ladoo? Okay, that's a silly question. Then how about this one, Are you ready for a surprise?

Dive into the happy, bright illustrations and the fun story of Ria & Raj and the Gigantic Diwali Surprise and join the kids in the kitchen as they do a bit of mischeivious cooking together

Your kids will love it, and so will you.

Thanks, Kiran, for making such joyful books for kids.

You can purchase Ria & Raj and the Gigantic Diwali Surprise at Amazon.co.uk or at Book Depository.
