Guru Nanak gave us a very easy way to understand that every being is part of the Divine creation. The Creator is within you and everyone.

It was about this time last year that I was impelled to share a very difficult, uniquely Sikh challenge for me. I am a woman with a very fuzzy chin. It’s not an exaggeration at all to say I have a beard. Since my hair is dark brown, I can’t even pretend people don’t notice it, even if that’s what they like to pretend.

Your spiritual path should be one that impassions you, not imprisons you. It should be one that continually moves you to higher levels of joy, love, peace of mind and harmony. Seek and you will find the spiritual source that is best for you. The one that truly supports your greatest happiness and highest good.

There are many leaders in our Sikh Panth. Some are true and some are not. Just as the phrase we hear our parents say, “Eh duniya mutlab di ah, koi nahi kise da.” This world is selfish, no one belongs to anyone. Accept the truth that even the biggest of leaders and kings have left this world empty-handed. We don’t have time to waste on empty debates and fights.

We cannot control the way the world turns, we cannot change day into night, we cannot keep what is not ours; and we cannot hide these facts from ourselves, no matter how hard we try. But what we are given to do, and that turns out to be the one power of ours truly capable of transforming the whole of life,...

The Guru is enlightening souls by giving them exactly the life experiences they need to let go of everything except the Infinite.
