The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) said that not covering the face is a "shortcoming" and suggested that any Muslims who advocate being uncovered could be guilty of rejecting Islam. In a statement published on its website the MCB, warns: "We advise all Muslims to exercise extreme caution on this issue, since denying any part of Islam may lead to disbelief."

The population of the world, long expected to stabilize just above 9 billion in the middle of the century, will instead keep growing and may hit 10.1 billion by the year 2100, the United Nations projected in a report released Tuesday. Over the years, MFV has partnered with eye hospitals and facilitated more than 1.0 million eye surgeries. This year, we are planning 175,000 free eye surgeries. Studies have found that meditation helps prevent the recurrence of depression, perhaps by producing changes in parts of the brain associated with learning and anxiety. A new study suggests that meditation may modulate brain waves called alpha rhythms, which help regulate the transmission of sensory input from the surrounding environment.

Dr. Rajwant Singh, Chairman of the Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), said that “We appreciate President Obama’s leadership in bringing justice to a man who caused so much grief to many fellow Americans and to so many people around the world.

After five days in the holy city and the Golden Temple I only know how little I still know about Sikhism. Its values seem admirable and are based on a most practical combination of faith and good works. So I shall try to learn more, not least about the religion's teachings on family life, which are of great interest to a father-in-law. In the meantime I can see that my daughter is blissfully happy.
