KBS Sidhu is a retired officer of the Indian Administrative Service (Punjab cadre), having served the Government of India and the State of Punjab for nearly four decades and retiring in the rank of Chief Secretary. During his long administrative career, he held several senior positions, engaging closely with issues of governance, public policy, and institutional reform.

Post-retirement, he devotes his time to writing and public engagement. He edits his personal blog, The KBS Chronicle, and curates a daily newsletter on Substack, where he reflects on contemporary political, social, and civilisational issues. His writing spans a wide range of themes, with particular emphasis on Sikh spiritual and temporal affairs, constitutional values, and interfaith dialogue, seeking to bridge tradition with modern public discourse.
