From a young age, I have always read about the gurus and their teachings. Originally from a hindu family and having delved into other faiths, the truths in all the faiths are enshrined and expressed so beautifully in gurbani. When my heart is in sorrow or joy, gurbani speaks to me. I am not "officially" a baptised sikh, meaning an amritdhari. But I do believe in sikhism and as such consider myself a sikh (disciple) of the gurus.
