Following the success of last year’s inaugural conference, this year’s Sikholars 2011 brings together Sikh graduate students, professionals, and activists for a unique experience. This year the CSU East Bay Ethnic Studies Department is co-hosting the event with the Jakara Movement on the CSU East Bay campus from February 25-27, 2011.

Department of Ethnic Studies invited Siri Pritam Kaur Khalsa to speak to our class as a representative of the American Sikh, a derivation of the traditional Punjabi Sikh culture that normally serves as the focus of our class discussion.
