The point is that the significance of Vaisakhi did not start with 1699 nor did it end that day. The revolution of Vaisakhi continues apace and undiminished today. We need to move our heads into the 21st century to see it.
The spirit of Baisakhi which we are celebrating is more vital today than ever. Let all of us who identify ourselves as Khalsa rise to our rightful place of honor today and remember all that we have been blessed with on this spiritual path and all that we have to share.
The path of destiny that Guru Gobind Singh set in 1699 is the same path we walk today. The Khalsa lives in the image and light of Guru Gobind Singh, dedicated to upholding righteousness, freedom, and the dignity of mankind. That is the Khalsa way.
