The following are the rules for story script submissions

  • The submission deadline is February 20th, 2011
  • Submissions received after that date will not be included in the competition.
  • Winners will be announced on SikhNet and notified via email.
  • You must provide signed release, if under 18, the entrant’s parent or legal guardian must sign the release.
  • During registration a correct shipping address is required. If you win non-cash prizes we need a proper address on record.
  • All prizes must be claimed within three months of receiving the notification via email, after which you will be deemed to have forfeited your prize.
  • When entering competitions (by completing the registration form and sending story scripts) entrants are deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them. Entrants must comply with all rules to be eligible for the prizes.
  • Winners will be selected by the SikhNet staff.
  • SikhNet reserves the right to disqualify any submissions for profanity, gratuitous violence, or discrimination to race/gender at the sole discretion of the SikhNet reviewers.
  • By submitting your story script to SikhNet, you are granting non-exclusive rights use the story script for SikhNet audio/video story productions, Television broadcast, and make no claims for royalties or compensation of any kind.
  • By submitting your story script to SikhNet, you give permission and rights to use the story script for SikhNet kids products that are sold as DVD videos, story books, audio CDs and other media formats.
  • By submitting your film(s) or video(s) to SikhNet, you understand that they/it may be featured on a DVD which will be distributed by different means including donor recognition gift for SikhNet supporters, and for sale online. Although each video will be available for free download, DVD distribution will be another means of making this media available and any profits will go towards making more media resources available on SikhNet.
  • While all due care and attention will be exercised, the SikhNet cannot accept or assume responsibility for damage or loss of materials submitted, either while in possession by SikhNet and/or its staff, or while on route through the mail or internet.
