Originally the Akal Takhat was a 3.5 meter brick platform that was not built by any mason. Guru Hargobind Ji himself built it when he was only 11 years old with the help of Bhai Gurdas, and Baba Budha. This shows Guru Hargobind Ji holding court in the Takhat and addressing the sangat while there is a chouri being waved over him and a chandoa above in the majesty of the king of Miri and Piri. Guru Ji was known to be over 7 feet tall, wear 2 swords, and wear cholas with 108 panels on them. The crowd has people from all paths including Women, Muslims, Hindus, Yogis and Bhuddists.
