SGSSF (105K)

The Sikh Gurdwara Sahib SF (SGSSF) is a collective effort of Sikh population in the Bay Area to establish a Gurdwara that is easily accessible and convenient for the residents of San Francisco and San Mateo County.

Once every month, the devotees of the Gurdwara organize an event allowing the greater public to attend and raising money for a permanent location for the Gurdwara. Currently, the devotees gather at 1400 hillside boulevard, South San Francisco CA 94080. The SGSSF also offers Punjabi school for young children to learn Punjabi, gurbani, kirtan and history of Sikhism. On behalf of SGSSF, we welcome all residents of Bay Area to come and join us once a month at Sikh Gurdwara Sahib SF.

On 20 April 2014, residents from all over the Bay Area came together to celebrate Vaisakhi at the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib SF (SGSSF). The month of April also marks the one-year anniversary of SGSSF. Vaisakhi and the one-year anniversary made the April 20th program extremely successful and the most attended event since the initiation of the Gurdwara. Also, the younger Sikh population at the Gurdwara hosted a Turban Day to attract, motivate, and encourage other members of the Gurdwara to wear turbans to at least the Gurdwara if not everywhere else.
