Submissions Now Being Accepted

Are you interested in writing, drawing, or photography?

Can you imagine what a world with Nirbhau Nirvair (without fear, without hate) might look like?

Are you interested in becoming a published author or artist?

If so, submit your vision of Nirbhau Nirvair to the Sikh Coalition’s Nirbhau Nirvair Art Book!

The Junior Sikh Coalition invites you to create poetry, paintings, drawings, or photography for its Nirbhau Nirvair Poetry & Art Book! Winners will have their submissions published in the coffee table book, which will be made available in print and online. Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2013

Submission Criteria:

You must be a Sikh youth between the ages of 5 and 25
You must reside in the United States
Submissions may include original poetry, quotes, artwork, or photographs
Submissions must relate to the concept of Nirbhau Nirvair
Written submissions may be no longer than 135 words

All submissions must include:

Your name
Age
Phone number
Email address (if you have one)

Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Campaign Nirbhau Nirvair is an advocacy campaign, led by the Junior Sikh Coalition, to fight hatred and bullying in schools and communities across the nation by spreading the values of Nirbhau and Nirvair. The campaign focuses on anti-bullying efforts by raising awareness on how bullying affects our community and by advocating for legislative changes. You can contribute to this campaign by submitting poetry and artwork to the Nirbhau Nirvair Art Book.
