The Sikh community supported Obama in his campaign to become President of America, now they are going to celebrate his inauguration to the White House. ![]() Lakhinder Singh Vohra is also the President of the Sikh chamber in America.
The Sikh Inaugural Ball will be held at Ascot, I-The Indian Experience Restaurant, just a few blocks from the White House.
![]() At the ball, guests will also be able to meet Supreet Malhi, a finalist in the Miss World Punjaban beauty pageant.
Deejay Lucky, a prominent Sikh who owns Platinum Entertainment is the official Dhol and DJ for the evening
DJ Lucky's sister is also a local
success story: She is one of the very few Indian-American women that
are commercial airline pilots and she will be honored for her
achievements at a later date at an event for female pioneers to be
hosted by the Sikh American Chamber of Commerce

chosen by the Co-organizers of the Sikh Inaugural Ball, to be the
official portrait artist after careful consideration of her work and
her contributions to the Interfaith Initiative in the Houston area.
