Friends,

Last month our digital short took home two prestigious awards at the 4th Annual Shorty Social Good Awards, which honors the best social media content and content creators. The Shorties were created to raise global awareness around the positive impact of brands.
The digital short, “Let’s Talk Turbans (Gasp!)”, was created in partnership with the largest comedic brand in the world, Funny Or DieIt won the “Humor” and the “Media Partnership” top honors. The team also walked away with silver in the “Diversity & Inclusion” category, in addition to being nominated in the “Social Justice” and "Comedy” categories.
The first-of-its-kind comedic digital short was produced to increase awareness of the Sikh faith, which is the 5th largest religion in the world, and the meaning of the Sikh turban.

The video received over 1,000,000 total views and 3,000,0000 impressions and features two Sikh online influencers and a Sikh director: Babbulicious (YouTube star), Sandy Kaur Gill (Instagram influencer and stylist for Lilly Singh), and Hans Sahni (director).

The lack of awareness of Sikh Americans and, in part, due to our practice of wearing turbans, which represents a Sikh’s commitment to protect racial equality, gender equality and religious tolerance for all people, has led to significant discrimination and harassment.  Receiving this award helps invigorate our objective to educate fellow American citizens about what the Sikh Turban represents.
