OAK CREEK — A vigil will be held Tuesday night in support of victims and families of those impacted by the shooting at a Sikh temple Sunday. The vigil will follow the “National Night Out”event.

Oak Creek’s previously scheduled “National Night Out” will be held at the Oak Creek Community Center and will serve as a memorial honoring the victims. The event will occur from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. — at 8:30 p.m. there will be a procession to Henry Miller Park.

The deceased include:

1. Sita Singh- 41-year-old male
2. Ranjit Singh- 49-year-old male
3. Satwant Singh Kaleka- 62-year-old male
4. Prakash Singh- 39-year-old male
5. Paramjit Kaur- 41-year-old female
6. Suveg Singh Khattra- 84-year-old male

Although many hearts are broken after this tragedy, many in the Sikh community say they are not angry, but sorry that this man’s rage resulted in these actions.

“We’re a strong community. We’re loving to everyone — even for that man who did this horrible thing. We love and forgive,” Aman Sangha said.

The Mayor and other officials will talk to the crowd around 8:30 p.m. and a procession will follow to Henry Miller Park.
