Kashmir Relief Team Leader, Amritpal Singh, who has been working on the ground, said, "We distributed blankets and food by identifying people who need it first. We traveled to the villages where people had been stranded in their homes ever since the floods hit. More needs to be done as it will be a while before the flood victims will be able to resume a normal life."

"We are grateful to the sangat of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Bangkok whose donations made it possible for us to fly 2,100 blankets from Amritsar to Srinagar. And we are grateful to SpiceJet Airlines for giving us freight concessions so that the blankets could get to the victims quickly," he added.
