Sikh Nari Munch its celebrated its 10th anniversary. The dream of Gurdev Kaur has now become a vision, shared by the hundreds of members.
A famous teacher, author and musician worked from her home for eight years to work with women to empower them

Two years ago Sikh Nari Munch with the leadership of Gurdev Kaur, her trustees and committee members started to map the vision of moving into premises, which would allow them not only work more efficiently but to reach a bigger audience

Hence on September 2006 the doors to Northside Welcome Centre were officially opened to the public.

Amidst controversy and uncertainty due to a lack of understanding and support by a minority of residence in the Erdington area of Birmingham, Gurdev Kaur made the brave decision that she and her team would work hard to fore fill the needs of the local community.

Today, Northside Welcome Centre, is proud to provide the much needed services which include Skills for life, English classes, opportunity to join the choir, seminars on health and wellbeing, yoga classes and computer training classes to mention but a few of the initiative taken by the Northside Welcome Centre
