A big donation will help one of the organizations in Fresno that serves the homeless.

The Sikh community presented a check for $20,000 to the Poverello House. The money will be used to provide meals and services during the holiday season. "The Sikh community has been donating to Poverello for, this is the seventh year," Executive Director Cruz Avila said. "In the last six years, they've donated over $130,000 to help us with our mission, our vision, to enrich the lives of all who pass our way."

Representatives of the Sikh community say that sharing is part of their teachings and their religion, adding that the Poverello house is one of the best institutions that helps the needy.
