In celebration of Sikh New Year, Vaisakhi, learn about the representation of the Sikh Maharajas and Gurus in Indian miniature paintings & illustrated manuscripts from historical to modern & contemporary Sikh art.

Jasleen Kandhari is an art historian specialising in Sikh artistic heritage & material culture of the Punjab. She lectures for the Ashmolean Museum at the University of Oxford on Indian & Asian art & textiles. She has lectured for the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, British Library, SOAS, the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies and the Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies. She tutors evening courses on Indian art, paintings and textiles at Morley College in London inc Sikh art & textiles.
