Tuesday, March, 26 2013 - ANANDPUR SAHIB: Thousands of devotees thronged various historic Gurdwaras of birthplace of Khalsa Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib including Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib to pay their obeisance on first day of the second phase of the Hola Mohalla festival that began today.
The first phase of the celebrations at Kiratpur Sahib concluded on March 25.
A sea of humanity could be seen at Anandpur Sahib as devotees are arriving in the town from all parts of the state and country, even abroad in every available vehicle including trucks, tractor trolleys and buses to participate in the celebrations.
The devotees are also taking a holy dip in the sarovar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib. A large number of Langars (Community kitchens) have also been organised in Anandpur Sahib and on all the roads leading to the town by various organisations and villagers.
Nihangs of various organisations have also arrived in large numbers to participate in Hola Mohalla festival.
Religious diwans have also begun at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and various other places in the town. Punjab Public Relations department has also organised an exhibition depicting various development activities and other important religious and historical events pertaining to Punjab. The exhibition was inaugurated by Ropar Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Aggarwal.
Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), Congress and Akali Dal (Amritsar) would organise their political conferences at Anandpur Sahib on March 27. Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and senior Akali Dal and BJP leaders would address the SAD conference while newly appointed PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa and other senior leaders of congress would address the congress conference.
The Gatka, Wrestling and competitions have also begun today at Anandpur Sahib.
Ropar District Administration and SGPC have made elaborate arrangements for the facility of devotees participating in Hola Mohalla festival.

Saturday, March, 23 2013 - KIRATPUR SAHIB: The first phase of the Hola Mohalla festival began at Kiratpur Sahib today. The first phase of the festivities would continue till March 25 after which Anandpur Sahib would be the centre of main celebrations for three days from March 26 to 28.
The devotees from all parts of the country and abroad have started arriving in Kiratpur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib to pay their obeisance in various historic gurudwaras. All the Gurudwaras and the streets leading to them in both the towns had been beautifully decorated and lightened to mark the occasion.
The Akhand Path has started at Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib in Kiratpur Sahib,the bhog of which would held on March 25. Various sects of Nihangs had already arrived in Anandpur Sahib to participate in the celebrations and Hola Mohalla procession.
Both Ropar District Administration and SGPC have made elaborate arrangements at Kiratpur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib for smooth conduct of the festival.
