Prabjot (PJ) Kaur Randhawa has been promoted to the position of morning news anchor at KOTA TV, an ABC affiliate station' in Rapid City, South Dakota- a city with a metropolitan area of about 100,000. She is the first Sikh to attain such a position and the only Sikh broadcast journalist in the State. She is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba and graduated with a Masters of Journalism from Depaul University in Chicago in 2011 upon which she began her career at KOTA news. This is definitely an important step for the Sikh community as its integral that our community be part of the mainstream media so that we can bring forth a positive image to Sikhs everywhere. ~ Navdeep Singh Randhawa
