Sikhi: Faith and Followers    Published

Bridgewater, NJ--The Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI) is pleased to announce the publication of a valuable resource, Sikhi: Faith and Followers, a 32-page full-color illustrated booklet, covering the basic tenets, beliefs and practices of Sikhs.

"We hope the global Sikh community will embrace this important initiative and use this booklet to spread greater awareness and understanding of Sikhs at all levels in their communities,” said Inni Kaur, Board member and a key contributor to the booklet development team.

The release of the booklet coincides with the one-year anniversary of the tragic Oak Creek shootings at the Sikh Gurdwara in Wisconsin. Hundreds of copies of Sikhi: Faith and Followers will be distributed at the events planned in Oak Creek the first weekend in August.

SikhRI is grateful to the Dasvandh Network for enabling donors to contribute towards the research, editing and design of the booklet. "Dasvandh Network is thrilled to see this resource ready to go out to the public," said Mandeep Singh, Co-Founder of Dasvandh Network. "The Sikhi booklet was one of the first projects we hosted for funding, and it demonstrates how the generosity and genuine interest of the Sikh community can fund good ideas that will make a difference."

You can view the booklet and order copies through SikhRI’s Resource page.
