On January 5th 2017, we celebrate the 350th Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of Guru Gobind Singh ji, the tenth Guru of the Sikh ideal. For 350 years, the miracle of Guru Gobind Singh has been to turn sparrows into hawks and transform the consciousness of ordinary men and women to the level of the saints. This painting dwells on the source of all inspiration, the jyot (Divine Light) of Guru Nanak dev ji which manifested itself through all ten masters and now resides forever, in Siri Guru Granth Sahib, our eternal Guru. I see Guru Gobind Singh with the creator's voice flowing through him, a connection to the eternal source which is inseparable from his divine being.
