Does anyone remember how in Charlie Brown the adults' voices were an unintelligible monotone that just kept droning on? That is how a lot of religious speeches must sound to a person who is more of a feeler than a philosopher.
This story attempts to view religion itself from the perspective of an innocent child. At the same time that we all believe that we all are created equally, each religion surely holds a percentage of adherents who believe that their religion is superior to others for various reasons, but it is not the content of any religion that matters, it is the conduct of the followers. To that end the story was actually narrated by a child to convey the sense of simplicity and innocence of this message.
In the story 'God In Every Moment' we are encouraged to recognize the humanity in others as being more important than their religion or belief. In the story different religious leaders are proposing that their beliefs are the best, but a child changes the conversation by asking, "What are all you people talking about?! You're all talking from your heads, but God is in our hearts." This solicitation causes them to see the divine in each other's eyes and to appreciate their shared humanity.
People of any faith can appreciate this universal message and we hope to instill a value in our youth: Even while we are passionate about our path we do not intend to put others down.
