Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! |
Dasvandh Network was started by sevadars who decided to bring giving to the next level!
Balpreet Kaur, a volunteer for Dasvandh Network, shares her inspiration for being part of this organization:
"I am inspired to give and give selflessly because the legacy of Guru Nanak is that of giving-- without expectations, without incentive--to all of Creation, whether it is money, time, love or effort.
Whether it is Bhai Lehna Jee giving up his entire life in service of the Guru,
or Guru Arjun Dev Jee walking towards shaheedi for the sake of the community,
or Bhai Soma Jee handing his life’s earnings to Guru Ram Daas Jee,
or Guru Tegh Bahadur Jee giving his life for the justice of others,
or the Five Beloved giving their heads to Guru Gobind Singh Jee at a moment’s notice.
Again and again, giving is an essential
part of a Sikh’s life and their relationship with the Guru. In
light of such precedence, Dasvandh encompasses that same spirit of
selflessness & passion towards loving the Guru fully, because as
we give, we acknowledge Akal Purakh’s benevolent nature and Guru’s
merciful blessings. Giving is a form of selfless Love and Love
facilitates selfless giving, even if it is ten percent of all that
you have.
Taking inspiration from Sikh history, I am inspired to give my Dasvandh to a number of causes. With the creation of Dasvandh Network, giving of one’s time and earnings is easily faciliated through its online platform for Sikh activists to start new projects and fund existing ones projects.
Do you have a project in mind that will #MoveThePanth forward? Don’t wait another moment! Check out these opportunities at Dasvandh Network. Together, lets take inspiration from Sikhi and #MoveThePanth forward."
