The precious Koh-i-noor Diamond belonging to the Last King of Punjab was stolen by the British 150 years ago, and now the descendant of Maharaja Ranjit Singh wants it back! This film is based on true events.
The year is 1849, the time of our forefathers and the end of one of the bloodiest battles for the British Army. Four years later, following the death of its beloved, powerful and undefeated Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the Lion emperor of the Five Rivers has finally fallen under the repeated attacks of the British Empire. The fabled diamond the Koh-i-noor, symbol of the Sikhs strength and pride is stolen and brought to England. Recut and set in Queen Victoria’s Crown as a symbol of British domination in India. 150 years later, will Maharaja Ranjit Singh's descendent be able to take the Koh-i-noor to its rightful place at the Golden Temple? Or will his plight be halted by betrayal from one of his own and the Kohinoor once again be lured to England and locked up in the Tower of London till the end of time…? |
