Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, by the grace of Akal Purakh, has created the ideal human form in the world, the Khalsa Panth, for the service of the people . In the struggling life of a few years from childhood to adolescence, Guru Sahib had to face many attacks, storms and difficulties. Circumstances in India compelled him to realize that there was a need for a very strong military organization against the tyranny  which could overcome the sectors of the society which were traveling with spirit and courage.

On the morning of 29th March 1699 , Guru held a large gathering on a small hill known as Anandpur fort, for which the sangat had already been urged to reach Anandpur. Chronicles testify that the intelligence man Abdullah Khan of emperor Aurangzeb was also present in the gathering. The story of the days of Baisakhi is also strange. Because these days the frozen snow on the mountains melts and travels from Kohistan to the plains. This is exactly what Dashmesh Pita did for the spiritual enlightenment of the thirsty souls for centuries and to breathe new life into the dead souls. Adjacent to the hill was a small tent on which the saffron flag was fluttering in the air.

On the morning of March 29, the Kirtaniyas sang 'Sri Asa Di War'.  After the kirtan, Guru Gobind Singh  pulled out a sword like lightning  and enlightened the assembled sangat about the goals and aspirations and said, “Bhai Sikho! I want the head of a Sikh, hurry up and don't delay". There was silence throughout the gathering.

Bhai Daya Ram Safti Khatri , resident of Moulkot, was the first among thousands to gather, he stood up. The tenth Nanak descended from the throne and took Daya Ram with him. Outside, there was the sound of swords being brandished in the sangat. A stream of blood flowed out of the tent, all the sangat watched. Guru Sahib came out of the tent with a sword soaked in blood and demanded another head. Similarly one after another Bhai Mohkam Chand, Chimba of Dwarka resident, Bhai Sahib Chand Nai Bidar city and Bhai Dharam Chand Jatt Hastanapur  and fifth Bhai Himmat Chand Mehra, resident Jagannath Puri offered their heads.  The five were taken out of the tent, bathed in and dressed decently . Bhatt Vahies also mentions, “ The whole Sangat was amazed that the Tenth Jot of Guru Nanak  is showing a supernatural quality today. Five beloved ones had passed  tests. Guru Sahib gave these five the title of Panj Pyare. Guru Sahib spoke, "As long as the sun, moon, earth and sky remain, the name of these five beloveds will remain for the rest of the world."

Guru ji ordered Diwan Dharam Chand to bring an iron bowl and a dagger on a stone hook. Guru Sahib made a 'Pahul' by pouring water from the river Sutlej . Bhai Daya Ram etc. started wielding the dagger with five hands . Guru Sahib concentrated and recited Japji Sahib, Jap Sahib, Savye, Chaupai and Anand Sahib. When the Pahul was ready,Guru ji  stood up and prayed. After that the Satguru gave the Khande di Pahul to the Panj Pyares. Guru Sahib himself received Pahul from five beloved ones. Guru Sahib wrote 'Singh' with his name. In the same way, he added the word 'Singh' to the names of the five Beloveds and 'Kaur' to women, then shouted Jakara. Guru Gobind Singh spoke, "Now listen to the four Bajjar Kurhits who have fallen from  Sikhism and I cannot merge in Sangat Pangat. From the first top to the thumb, the disrespect of hair, the eating of halal meat, the consumption of tobacco, the company of Turkish women ."

After this Guru  Sahib enlightened the sangat in detail about the 'Rehat Maryada of Khalsa'. A Muslim historian writes that although many people refused to take the Khande de Pahul , still 20,000 people took the 'Pahul' on that day.

Bhatt Vahi Pargana  recorded in an ancient article of Thanesar. This 'Khande Di Pahul' continued for many days . The Khalsa Panth is proud that today only the Sikh community celebrates its birthday in worldly affairs . Dorothy Field also writes that Khandedhar Pahul made the base, unclean and cowardly people centuries into great warriors. This revolutionary Baisakhi later taught India the test of liberation from the shackles of slavery by urging India for self-respect, dignity and self-defense.

The heroism in which Guru Gobind Singh  introduced the 'Khande Di Pahul' to the world for the creation of the Khalsa Panth was a unique and unconventional military act. The Khalsa is the great creator of social, political order and protection of governance. World renowned historian Tayanbi also prophesied about the 'Khalsa' that even if the world was doomed, Guru Gobind Singh's Khalsa would survive.

As ‘Khalsa Akal Purakh Ki Fauj’, only Akal Purakh can protect this army. Even today black winds are blowing around the Khalsa. Conspiracies to destroy its image are constantly unfolding on every front. The protector of the Khalsa Panth will come by himself.
