SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, December 2011 –While living on an ashram for 30 years, Tara Dickinson had an idea spark during a recent meditation session. After using iron-on applications to design clothing for friends, she decided it was time to share the well-received gifts with others. In collaboration with a young twenty-something artist from Portland OR, Nirvana Mama now brings joyful images to life for babies, moms and dads alike on 100% organic cotton apparel.

Not just baby clothes; these are the beginning of a healthier future. Thanks to Nirvana Mama we all now have a superior option for stylish baby clothes that will neither harm them nor the environment.  Super cute onesies, tees, hats and bibs are all made from organic cotton, which eliminates the use of pesticides and other harmful chemicals.

With your child’s comfort in mind and knowing we each have a commitment to a healthier planet, Founder, Tara Dickinson, started the quest for green products. The fabrics chosen are made with 100% certified organic cotton yarns grown from non-genetically altered seeds and nourished without the use of chemical fertilizers.

And because they are finished using environmentally friendly low impact dyes we can all feel good about doing our part to help the planet; best of all, this quality product feels great on your bod!

Every child deserves the best and Nirvana Mama is making it easy to go green with kids.

The original art is simply divine. Nirvana Mama has images you won't find anywhere else in the world. Drawing purely on the ‘joy’ and ‘happiness’ of childhood, Tara and graphic artist Jaya Frank created iconic images that are completely blissful. The goal is to inspire others to connect with their own personal joy and happiness.

The team focused on two of the most well known and loved icons in the world, Eastern Zen master and originator of the peaceful movement, Buddha and the Hindu god Ganesh who is recognized around the world as the benevolent elephant-headed god granting good fortune and blessings for all creative endeavors.

With designs like “Happy Buddha”, “Joyful Ganesh” and the Sanskrit “bliss” for adults, these Nirvana Mama organics are hard to resist.

Tara’s history begins in Berkeley C.A. in 1971. After a normal start to life with a cute baby sister, mom and dad divorced. In search of herself (this was the 70's) mom found a spiritually inspiring teacher, Ma Jaya, and to make a long story short Tara and family ended up living on an ashram in Florida for the past 30 years. www.Kashi.org

Although embracing all traditions, Kashi ashram (which means spiritual community) was definitely Hindu based. Thus the siblings were raised celebrating a lot of Hindu holidays and traditions. They loved the Hindu aspect, multi-layered and richly diverse. Everything and everyone was welcome.

Even through a rebellious stint during the teenage years, Tara has been on a spiritual path ever since. This is where the inspiration for the art of Nirvana Mama comes from.

Through awareness of self and of the moment Tara strives to share herself with others. She hopes Nirvana Mama can bring smiles and lightness to people's lives as they raise the children in their midst.

Priced at $12-$34, this sustainable collection in infant to toddlers sizes can be found at http://www.NirvanaMamas.com
