#givingtuesday

Wahe Guru Ji ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh.

Last week here in the United States, we just celebrated Thanksgiving. During Thanksgiving, we express our appreciation for all that the Creator has blessed us with.

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has come to be known as “Giving Tuesday.” And so in honor of “Giving Tuesday,” SikhNet has prepared a little gift for you.

This gift is our way of saying, “Thank you for being part of the SikhNet family.” Whether you simply enjoy our services or help support these services through your kind contributions, SikhNet exists because of YOU.

What is the gift? Check out these cool Sikh-themed wallpapers (below) for your desktop or mobile device. We enjoyed making them, and we hope they bring a smile to your face.

Thank you again. May the Guru’s Light keep you in uplifted spirits today and always.

- The SikhNet Team

P.S. We are grateful for all you do to keep SikhNet online. If you have thought about contributing during our year-end fundraiser, and would like to make a donation today, we appreciate your support.

How do I install a wallpaper on Windows 7?

Mac Instructions:

To set a wallpaper as your desktop background, in Safari, Control-click on each full size image and select "Use Image as Desktop Picture."

To rotate the images as a set:

Create a new folder in the Finder to use for desktop images, then just add the pictures to that folder. In Safari you can Control-click on the full size images and select "Save Image as" and save them all into the folder you made. You can set the desktop picture to change itself automatically at a selected time interval, ranging from every 5 seconds to once a day or upon system wake.

  • Open “System Preferences” from the Apple menu and click on “Desktop & Screen Saver”
  • Click the checkbox next to “Change picture” and set the time interval, the default is a new background every 30 minutes. I like every 5 minutes.
  • Select “Random order” as well for best results
  • Whatever your background picture was set to will be changed immediately, and then it will change again at the time interval you selected.
