Sikh restaurateur, Tony Singh is driving his passion for food and success by opening another restaurant in Edinburgh.
The entrepreneur Tony Singh is hoping his latest venture a new restaurant in the city will open in February, as part of a collaboration with Sir David Murray’s Murray International Holdings (MIH).
The chef proprietor of Oloroso and Roti will open Tony’s Table, a 60-cover bistro-style restaurant, in the building that currently houses Circus restaurant and its adjoining sandwich shop, Circus Express.
Tony’s Table will serve simple, quality and modestly priced dishes in an informal, family-friendly atmosphere, a concept Singh describes as ‘uncomplicated’.
“Edinburgh is ready for something new,” he said. “This is a time when people want value for money and our aim is to get families and foodies visiting our new venue to enjoy simple, but tasty dishes: somewhere that families can dine together and know what they're eating is healthy and hearty, he told food critics.
“It will be all about conventional recipes and ingredients, but with a modern twist - fine food without any fuss.”
Tony’s Table will also feature an on-site bakery, which will also supply surrounding restaurants and hotel kitchens.
