Nymphang (306K)Book Excerpt:

Harshal fought with keen precision. His sword seemed to have fluidity in its movement and execution. Like wading through clear water. Effortless slaughter. Like a dancer elegantly wielding a silk ribbon. Twisting and twirling. There was no hatred in the dance. No anger or revenge. Just bringing about the balance of the cosmos. Bringing the tilting scales back to its centre. It was effortless. Dreamlike. Harshal was at one with the Mesotie. Pushing aside his ego to connect to the higher realization, that everything was just one river of living, breathing consciousness.

The children danced the gory dance of death. The MoShakin flesh fell but the essence rose back up into the all-containing ethers. Nothing lost.

Note:

Positive Sikh fiction characters are far and few between in modern day literature. The classics like Sundri, Bijay Singh, Satwant Kaur written by the saintly poet-scholar Bhai Vir Singh (1872-1957) with action packed Sikh heroes and heroines are like gold dust.

Budding Sikh authors and illustrators should not hide away but bring forth the light of their creativity to share with the world.

If you have it in you to write, then DO IT!!
If you can illustrate, well, what you waiting for!
Don't hold back!
One story is all it takes.
