Speak thy prayer before the Lord God Himself . . .
And from the source of that song of bliss,
Automatically receive the four treasures that bring contentment and spiritual power. (Pause)
Abandon pride and fall at Lord’s feet –
Hold fast to the Robe of the Lord.
The sea of burning desire clings not to those who long for the shelter of their Master.
The Lord supports even the most ungrateful, who err again and again . . .
Nanak longs for the shelter of that perfect Lord – embodiment of Mercy.
