November 13, 2014 - Sach Productions commemorates 30 years of the anti-Sikh, government sponsored massacre of 1984 with the DVD release of it's award winning film, The Widow Colony directed by Harpreet Kaur.
The Widow Colony is a film that takes an in-depth look into the lives of the widows of the Sikh men who were killed in the anti-Sikh massacre of November, 1984. The film, explores the suffering of these women, their battle for justice and their struggle for survival in India.
The film has been recognized and endorsed by various Human Rights, Civil rights and social welfare organization all over the world. It was the first Sikh film to be shown at the Canadian and UK Parliament followed by a screening at the US Congress in Washington, DC where a Congressional Briefing to Commemorate the anit-Sikh massacre of 1984 was held.
