Tradition Never Dies - Fought in the barren and hostile terrain of the North West frontier on 12th September 1897, the battle of Saragarhi, in which 21 Sikh soldiers died defending their post.

Campaigners are calling for a national memorial for the soldiers who died at the Battle of Saragarhi in British India - now Pakistan - in 1897.

APS Mann presents this exclusive show on 'Saragarhi Day' commemoration event which was held on 12 Sep 2012 at Cenotaph, Lich Gate War Memorial Gardens, Wolve.

The Battle of Saragarhi was fought during the Tirah Campaign on 12 September 1897 between twenty-one Sikhs of the 4th Battalion (then 36th Sikhs) of the Sikh.

Campaigners are calling for a national memorial for the soldiers who died at the Battle of Saragarhi in British India - now Pakistan - in 1897. 21 Sikhs lay down their lives to defend an army post against 10-thousand tribesmen. Today the Anglo Sikh Heritage Trail launched a series of events to raise awareness of the battle.
