Sunday, November 17, 2013 - Lahore— More than 2,000 Indian sikh yatrees arrived here on Friday by special trains to celebrate the 544th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Jee.

Additional Secretary Shrine, Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Khalid Ali, President Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) Sardar Sham Singh and other officials received the sikh yatrees at Wahga railway station.

Pakistan Rangers and police department made foolproof security arrangements for them while immigration, customs, bank and medical departments had setup special counters to facilities the sikh pilgrims at Wahga Railway Station.

Expressing their views at Wahga Station, the yatrees appreciated the security and other arrangements made by the government of Pakistan.

Soon after their arrival at Wahga Railway station, the sikh yatrees left for Nankana Sahib where they will perform rituals.

During their stay, they will leave for Sucha Sauda, Farooqabad, Punja Sahib Hassanabdal, Dera Sahib Lahore, Rohari Sahib and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib to perform rituals.

The sikh yatrees will return home on November 24.—APP
