Neverending Light Productions (NEL) just announced development of the first ever professional, world class documentary film to be made on GuruGobind Singh Ji.

Guru Gobind Singh, born Gobind Rai, was the tenth Sikh Guru. When his father, Guru TeghBahadur, was beheaded for refusing to convert to Islam, Gobind Singh was formally installedas the leader of the Sikhs at age nine, becoming the tenth Sikh Guru. Among his notable contributions are founding the Sikh Khalsa in 1699, and introducing the five articles of faith which most Sikhs wear. Guru Gobind Singh (GGS) also formalized the religion, wrote important Sikh texts, and enshrined the scripture of Guru Granth Sahib as Sikhism's eternal Guru.

Amar Singh Kaleka, one of the founders of Neverending Light, explains, "Dr. Jagmeet Soin from Houston approached me after the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin tragedy which took ourfather, Satwant, and six other beautiful souls. He asked us to take on this project because it's never been done before. It's long over due and for very good reason, it's a challenge. Just the research, site surveillance, and translations of Guru's life into chapters and cinematic script is a monumental task. However, we pride ourselves on being able to handle such large topics with gentle truth, beautiful imagery, and an organized narrative".

NEL decided to use a special model of development for this type of long form biopic. They're focusing attention on raising the capital, resources, and producers from inside the Sikh community through a pre-buy campaign. The last time NEL did something like this, it was ableto raise over $450,000 in less than 7 weeks for a film called, "Sirius," which focused on the ongoing debate regarding extraterrestrials and the new sciences which come with that. Sirius has been seen by over 5 million people worldwide and was translated into 22 languages around the globe.

Kaleka explains, "We hope to have the same success with the Guru Gobind Singh Ji documentary. Our approach has always been to tell the truth about the subject, while summarizing the best known knowledge of the time in the most captivating way. We use this type of fundraising and collaboration for this reason. When we have to answer to those who supported the documentary, we do so with the best found research. However, if we're tied to just a few investors, then we have to bend with their influence. This new way allows us to focus on making films for the people by the people. This is unique in Hollywood."

The Guru Gobind Singh Ji documentary presentation can be seen at NeverendingLight.com.The spokes people for the brand are willing to do interviews, phone calls, or video time withblogs, news outlets, and affiliations to spread the message.
