Tav Prasad Sawaiye.jpg

Part of the daily prayers of the Sikhs, the poem Tav-Prasad Savaiye  (ਤ੍ਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾ ਦਿ ਸ੍ਵੈਯੇ) by Guru Gobind Singh is usually read after Japji and Jaap in the mornings. In it, Guru Gobind Singh tells us how to worship and realize God, and expounds the uselessness of rituals and blind faith without sincere worship of God.

It is found on pages 13 to 15 in the Dasam Granth, the collection of the writings of Guru Gobind Singh. Historical accounts says that this Bani was composed for Bhim Chand Raja, when Guru Ji was in Pauta, to show him that even with having thousand of forces or infinite land or a kingdom, one cannot attain God.
