NITNEM, MORNING EVENING AND NIGHT TIME BANIA

Nitnem Banis: Your Daily Connection to the Divine

Nitnem — the daily recitation of sacred Banis — is a cornerstone of Sikh spiritual life. These timeless prayers, revealed by the Sikh Gurus, are more than words; they are a living rhythm of remembrance, guidance, and connection. At the start of the day, in the quiet of evening, and before rest at night, these Banis ground us in the presence of the Divine and align us with Guru's wisdom.

In this section of the Learning Center, we will be releasing complete video recitations of the morning, evening, and nighttime Nitnem Banis including Ardas.

Kirtan Sohila, Ardaas

Each video includes three synchronized subtitle formats:

  • Gurmukhi – the original script of the Banis

  • Transliteration – to help you pronounce each word

  • English translation – to guide your understanding of the meaning

These carefully presented videos are designed for everyone: whether you are new to Nitnem, learning to read Gurmukhi or simply wish to bring more intention to your daily recitation.

You can follow along at your own pace, pause for reflection, or play during your own quiet prayer time. With each viewing, you have the opportunity to deepen both your understanding and your relationship with the Guru’s words.

Let these Banis become the soundtrack of your day — anchoring your thoughts, uplifting your spirit, and drawing you closer to your purpose.
