The 313th "KHALSA SAAJNA DIVAS" (KHALSA PANTH FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS) popularly known as "VAISAKHI" will be celebrated on a grand and mammoth scale by Sikh community of Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh from April 12 to 14, 2012.
The major attraction of the celebrations wil be organised under aegis Prabhandak Committee Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet. The Sadh Sangat of Ameerpet is geared up to organise the celebrations in befitting manner
TWO MAJOR IMPORTANT EVENTS "VISHAAL DEEWAN" (MASS CONGREGATION) AND "NAGAR KEERTAN" (HOLY PROCESSION) WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 13, 2012. "AMRIT SANCHAAR OR AMRIT PAAN (HOLY BAPTISM)" WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 12 AND "REIN SABAI KEERTAN DARBAR ON APRIL 14, 2012
The KHALSA SAAJNA DIVAS which falls on April 13, 2012, Prabhandak Committee Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet will organise "Vishaal Deewan" (Mass Congregation), the main attraction of the celebrations at Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Play Grounds, Ameerpet, Hyderabad from 11 am to 4 pm in which over 25,000 to 30,000 Sikh devotees and other community faiths will converge at the programme.
Prabhandak Committee, President S. Amarjeet Singh, General Secretary S. Surender Singh, Vice-President S Sulakshan SIngh and Joint Secretary S Bhagender Singh said that the event will be marked by the recitations of Gurubani Keertans (Holy Hymns) by the reputed Ragi Jathas (religious preachers) who are being specially invited from various parts of the country to render shabad keertans.
BHAI INDERJEET SINGHJI KHALSA (DARBAR SAHIB, AMRITSAR), GIANI HARINDER SiNGHJI of ALWAR WALE, SANT RAVINDER SINGHJI of NANAKSAR WALE, BHAI SURINDER SINGHJI, HAZURI RAGI JATHA, BHAI GURMUKH SINGHJI, JATHA TERA JATHA and other reputed Ragi Jathas will recite shabad keertans and Kathas and throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus.
After the culmination of the congregation Guru Ka Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to the devotees. On the same evening, April 13, 2012 a colourful "Nagar Keertan", (Holy Procession) will be taken out at around 5 pm from Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet and will pass through the main corridors of Greenlands, Begumpet, Punjagutta and returned back to Gurudwara saheb in the evening. Over 25,000 devotees will take part in the procession. Guru Granth Sahebji (the revered Holy Scripture of the Sikhs) will be carried on a beautifully decorated vehicle along with "Nishaan Sahebans" (Religious Flags).
The Procession will be marked by the rendering of Shabad Keertans (Holy Hymns) by the Jatha Tera Jatha and Keerthani Jathas of men, women and youths. Besides that "Panj Pyaras" (five beloved ones) in their traditional attire will be the cynosure of the attraction all along the procession.
The major attraction of the procession will be the display of "GATKA" a famous Sikh martial art forms and other breathtaking sword exercises all along the procession by Dashmesh Kalgidhar Jatha and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Akhada.
AMRIT SANCHAAR OR AMRIT PAAN (HOLY BAPTISM) ON APRIL 12 : Amrit Paan (Holy Baptism) will be performed on April 12 at 11 am at Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet. Persons desirous to have Amrit can register their names with with Head Granthi.
BAISAKHI KEERTAN DARBAR (NIGHT CONGREGATION) ON APRIL 14 : Night Congregation will be held between 8 pm and 1.30 am on April 14th at GURU GOBIND SINGHJI SPORTS STADIUM, AMEERPET, HYDERABAD in which reputed Ragi Jathas BHAI INDERJEET SINGHJI KHALSA (DARBAR SAHIB, AMRITSAR), GIANI HARINDER SiNGHJI of ALWAR WALE, SANT RAVINDER SINGHJI of NANAKSAR WALE, BHAI SURINDER SINGHJI, HAZURI RAGI JATHA, BHAI GURMUKH SINGHJI, JATHA TERA JATHA and other reputed Ragi Jathas will render Shabad Keertan.
PRABHAT PHERIS (MORNING ROUNDS) FROM APRIL 5 TO 11 : As part of the celebrations, week long Prabhat Pheris (Morning Rounds) will start from Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet daily at 4 am from April 5 to 11, 2012. Guru ka Langar will be served after the culmination of Prabhat Pheris.
