Today UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, issued the below video statement to the Sikh community in regards to the Amritsar Inquiry.

This is in conjunction with the publishing, for public view, of 5 documents along with a formal report from the British Foreign Secretary. This is in answer to questions and concerns that arose from documents recently made public which show that, in February of 1984, a British SAS officer was sent to India to advise on "a plan to remove Sikh extremists from the Golden Temple in Amritsar".

In this statement the Prime Minister declares, "There is absolutely no evidence of UK government in the operation (bluestar) itself. This conclusion has been made after a thorough search of some 200 files and over 23,000 documents. But let me be clear, I want the dialogue between the Sikh community and this government to continue..."
