Video journalist Terri Trembath reports from inter-religious workshop

Inter-faith Lessons    2:00

There were some out-of-the ordinary lessons about faith being learned at a Calgary synagogue on Sunday.

The Beth Tzedec congregation hosted members of the Sikh community for a workshop about aspects of both religions.

It included demonstrations on how to tie a Turban and how to wrap tefillin, two small black boxes containing verses from the Torah with black straps attached to them that members of the Jewish faith wear during prayers.

“This is part of a series to promote religious literacy and we began with the Sikh religion,” said Rabbi Shaul Osadchey.
