Educating others about their community through their music and beyond, Bhangra producers Tigerstyle are great role models showcasing the importance of being involved in the community. As ambassadors of the Anglo Sikh Heritage Trail, an organization whose goal is to promote awareness between the Sikhs and Britain, the Bhangra duo headed over to The Neuve-Chapelle Indian Memorial in France earlier this week.
The World War I memorial commemorates some 4742 Indian soldiers with no known graves, who fell in battle while serving the British Indian Army during WWI.
Along with the Bhangra duo, several distinguished people attended the event, including Prince Charles.
The producers tweeted: "We are out in France at a military memorial with Anglo Sikh Heritage Trail.....Prince Charles will be arriving in 10 mins."
Shortly after they wrote:
"Tigrstyle just met Prince Charles!!!!"
Prince Charles attended the event along with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. The community was very pleased with their presence as it is important and great to see British Royalty at such a significant event that honors those who gave their life for the country.
The Scottish Sikh music producers Tigerstyle, were honored to be at the event and they took a break out of their hectic schedule to attend as they understood its value. Currently Tigerstyle has been tied up with many projects and their recent tweet confirm that they have been in the studio with Bhangra sensation Juggy D.
The group, like many other Asian artists, have been performing at popular melas across Europe, including the Edinburgh Mela / Fringe Festival. The highly acclaimed duo continues to make waves in their career and its great to see that they make time for the community while they are doing it.
