Sukhwinder Singh, 31, was attacked on 8 January as he pursued two men who had mugged a 28-year-old woman in Barking. Mr Singh died at the Royal London Hospital. A post-mortem test showed he died from a stab wound to the heart. The men released on bail are due to return to an east London police station in February pending further inquiries. Detectives published a CCTV image of the woman's brown leather handbag stolen in the attack, in a bid to trace it. Det Ch Insp Stephen Clayman said he wanted to find two black men who were in the area at the time of the murder. "These males were near a dark-coloured car," he said. "We need to eliminate them from inquiries and so ask these persons,
or anyone who may have seen them or know them, to come forward." He stressed that although some arrests had been made, police still needed help from the public. Police said Mr Singh was an Indian national who had lived in the UK for about 10 years.Last week police arrested three men
