When Guru Nanak said, "God knows"
People started throwing stones at him. They said, "How can you say that? God doesn't know anything."
GND: "Who knows?"
"Pandit knows."
GND: "Who made the Pandit?"
"God"
GND: "Then what is the difference? If God can make Pandit, and Pandit knows, where are you coming from? "
So they didn't kill him with those stones. They stopped. When he started telling people about the supremecy, and the joy and the ecstacy and the reality of God... and he gives people all that status, that man within him or herself is as well as divine as well as in duality.
Then people say 'what is the answer?'. He said 'answer is the Guru, which can take you from darkness to light. Which can walk with you from darkness to light. Which can walk with you from pain towards happiness. In pain he doesn't let you stop. In happiness he doesn't let you go out of bounds'.
