The Sikh Spirit Foundation has released its semi-annual call for proposals and invites the North American community to seek funding for Sikh-related projects.
The Foundation’s primary purpose is to advance the state of the Sikh community, and it supports innovation and progress in all relevant arenas. The Sikh Spirit Foundation is searching for partners who share this commitment to our community.
The Foundation offers two streams that applicants may consider: organizational and independent. Non-profit organizations may request up to $25,000 per project, and newly formed non-profits and individuals with demonstrated track records may request a maximum of $5,000. Proposal guidelines are available to aid grant-writing for both streams on our website.
Grants are made on the basis of impact, innovativeness, and the applicant’s track record. Each proposal should outline a single project, although applicants are welcome to submit multiple project proposals. Last year, a number of endeavors received grants, including writing projects, legal issues, education programs, and humanitarian efforts.
All applicants seeking a decision in the summer of 2012 should submit their proposals by July 1.
