In this digital world we are bombarded with so much information, and because of that we are getting away from our true self. Away from our true purpose. When your brain is fried, you don't want to contemplate. Rather than receiving information and contemplating it deeply, nowadays we have the habit of just consume information. Before we can contemplate it, we are consuming the next thing.
But that's not why we are here. we are here to purify ourselves, and meet our true self. Right now we are about knowing more, but doing less. Nowadays people are proud of being stubborn, "This is how I am. Take it or leave it". Having that kind of persona is actually a false personality. Our true identity is beyond stubbornness.
We need to find how to have a relationship with our Guru. How that relationship works is if you have doubts in your mind, you listen and obey your Guru. Nowadays we don't ask questions because we want to know the answer, but because we want to confirm what we already believe. Or when someone is answering, we already have another question.
Lets look to Gurbani for these life lessons, which can help make us desireless.
