On Sunday, December 28, 2014, on the sacred occasion of the 348th birth celebration of the Tenth Sikh Guru, The Sikh Satsang volunteers packed over 15-tons of canned food, cereals, soft drinks to be delivered to Gleaners Food Bank before year-end.
Guru Nanak was the very first leader of the Sikhs and he started the Sikh religion. He traveled to many places, and once he went to Lahore, a big town in Pakistan.
This week we remember the courage and sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh ji who gave their lives in support of this path. SikhNet strives to carry on and share this lifestyle with tens of thousands every day.
The idea that still sits in my mind, after a year of experiencing different sites, is that we have all these communities, unique in their own beauty and we are keeping to ourselves this Guru’s gift of Langar and Sangat.
